The Bank will have to put its clients first, improve its efficiency and effectiveness, and focus on the impacts on people on the ground. The Bank is also the best-positioned African institution to facilitate Africa’s transformation. It has a unique position and could play a pivotal role working in partnership with African governments, regional institutions, and financial and non-financial institutions. It can help to unleash the potential of the continent but this will require a collaborative approach.
There will be a need for a twin agenda. , As mentioned above, one element will be to reengineer and reform the Bank as an organization.
